The Turkish government has done what no Arab regime has dared to do: issue arrest warrants against war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu and 37 others directly responsible for the genocide in Gaza.
While the official Arab world remains mired in silence, submission, and shameful complicity, Ankara has given a sign of dignity and justice.
The Turkish decision has not only legal value, but also moral and historical significance. It sets a precedent at a time when international courts appear powerless—or co-opted—by the powers that protect Israel. Beyond its political interests, Turkey has raised a symbolic banner: that of universal justice in the face of the most atrocious crime of the 21st century.
The Arab peoples, from Rabat to Baghdad, from Cairo to Sana’a, watch with outrage as their governments remain silent while the children of Gaza are massacred. None of these governments—kneeling before Washington or Tel Aviv—has had the courage to take such a step.
Turkey’s action is a call to the conscience of the Muslim world and all free peoples: that speeches and condolences are not enough; that justice must pursue the perpetrators of genocide wherever they may be; and that Palestine is not alone as long as there are nations and peoples who dare to challenge Zionist impunity.
