Pezeshkian: Unity among Muslims curbs Israeli crimes

Iran’s President Massoud Pezeshkian warns that dissent among the Muslim community only emboldens Israel’s regime to commit more crimes.

Speaking at the 39th International Conference of Islamic Unity in Tehran, the Persian capital, the president said on Monday that Muslims must act as “one hand” to protect their rights and prevent further atrocities.

If Muslims are united and avoid discord, the Zionists will never be able to carry out such crimes in Gaza and the countries of the region,” he stressed.

The Iranian minister pointed out that the real problem does not lie in Israel or the United States, but in the divisions among Muslims themselves.

If the Islamic community were united, no power would dare to invade the rights of Muslims,” he added, insisting that unity remains the only path to victory.

Pezeshkian has also criticized the West’s double standards on human rights and its accusations against the Islamic community.

They accuse us of trampling on human rights, while their vision of human rights fails to safeguard children, women and the elderly and they commit genocide. They know nothing about humanity. However, our own internal disputes remain the real problem. They take advantage of our differences to sell weapons to Islamic countries and steal their resources,” he denounced.

“We are not looking for a fight with any Muslim country”

Stressing his government’s commitment to the unity of the Islamic community, Pezeshkian has pledged the Islamic Republic’s brotherhood with “the Iraqis, the Palestinians, the Egyptians and all Muslims in the Islamic world”.

We promise brotherhood not only in words, but in practice. If this principle is truly adopted, neither the United States nor Israel will succeed in sowing discord among Islamic societies,” he added.

Referring to the 12-day war waged by Israel and the United States against Iran, the president stressed that his goals failed because of Iran’s unity and resilience.

Yes, we had missiles, strong and brave fighters who dealt heavy blows to the enemy. But the strongest blow came from the unity of the people,” he said.

In this context, he has maintained that the enemy thought that he would launch some missiles and that the people would also rise up against the System, but the Iranians stood firm with their authorities: “Our people and other Muslims will not kneel in the face of oppression or aggression. Iran sent this message to its enemies,” he said.

Pezeshkian thanked Islamic countries for condemning Israeli-American aggression, but said stronger and more unified action was needed.
