“Gold, Hypocrisy, and the Blood of the Sudanese People”

Amid the complicit silence of Western powers and the official Arab world, Sudan is bleeding. What appears to be an internal conflict between military factions is, in reality, a war fueled by external interests, where the money and weapons of the United Arab Emirates have played a decisive role in the suffering of the Sudanese people.

From Abu Dhabi, militias responsible for mass atrocities, forced displacement, and massacres against defenseless communities are financed and armed. The same regime that boasts of “modernity” and “tolerance” in international forums trades gold extracted with African blood and seeks to control strategic Red Sea routes at the cost of thousands of human lives.

The UAE’s double standards are yet another example of how regimes allied with Zionism and imperialism are turning the Arab world into a battleground for corporate and military interests, stripping any ideal of unity or justice of its humanity. The UAE—which is now normalizing relations with the Israeli occupier—is applying the same colonial logic in Africa that Israel imposes in Palestine: control, dispossession, and extermination.

Sudan does not need donors of death disguised as benefactors. It needs genuine solidarity, a united Arab voice denouncing foreign interference, and a awakening of conscience against the traitors who sell out the dignity of nations for contracts and petrodollars.

The Palestinian Union of Latin America (UPAL) expresses its strongest condemnation of the United Arab Emirates’ intervention in the Sudanese conflict and calls on the free peoples of the world to break their silence. There is no peace possible while African gold continues to finance war and international complicity remains stained with the blood of Sudan.
