The Union of Palestine in Latin America (UPAL) strongly condemns the crime committed by the Zionist occupation army against the flotilla that was carrying humanitarian aid to the besieged people of Gaza.
Once again, the occupation entity reveals its true face: a state that does not respect international law, violates the sovereignty of civilian vessels, and assaults unarmed citizens from multiple countries whose only “crime” was attempting to deliver food, medicine, and hope to a people subjected to a criminal blockade for more than 17 years.
This attack is not only a war crime, but also a direct insult to the international community, which continues to stand powerless in the face of “Israel’s” crimes, protected by powers that claim to defend democracy.
We in UPAL hold the Zionist entity fully responsible for the lives and safety of the flotilla’s crews and passengers, as well as for the humanitarian cargo bound for Gaza. We call on all governments whose citizens were on board the flotilla to assume their responsibilities and demand immediate justice.
We reaffirm that:
- The blockade on Gaza is a collective crime and must be lifted immediately.
- Solidarity is not a crime; those who risk their lives to deliver aid to Palestine are an example of human dignity.
- The real terrorism is the occupation, not the resistance of a people struggling to survive.
The attack on the flotilla will not silence the truth, nor will it break the will of the Palestinian people or that of the peoples in solidarity around the world. On the contrary, it confirms that the Palestinian cause remains alive, and that resistance, in all its forms, is legitimate and necessary.
No to impunity
Lift the criminal blockade on Gaza now!
Freedom and justice for Palestine!
