Since the signing of the Oslo Accords, what is known as security coordination between the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) and the Zionist occupation has been presented as a necessary measure to “maintain stability.” But the painful reality that every Palestinian knows is that such coordination was never intended to protect the people, but rather to protect the occupier and ensure the continued rule of the Palestinian people over the land and the people.
While the Zionist enemy murders resistance fighters in Gaza and the West Bank, demolishes homes, expels families, and maintains the siege of entire cities, the PNA security apparatus is dedicated to persecuting and imprisoning resistance fighters, dismantling popular defense networks, and providing information to Israeli intelligence services. This shameful fact has turned the authority into an auxiliary arm of the occupation apparatus, instead of a shield defending its people from the aggressor.
Under the slogan of “avoiding chaos,” the PA justifies its collaboration with the enemy, as if the true chaos were not precisely the occupation and its system of daily terror. What stability can exist under a regime that murders children, desecrates holy sites, uproots olive trees, and builds settlements on the remains of destroyed Palestinian villages? The stability the PA speaks of is not that of the people, but rather that of the positions and privileges of a disconnected elite.
Security coordination has become an instrument to suppress resistance, divide the people, and prolong the heartbreaking state of national fragmentation. It is a constant betrayal, offered day after day on the altar of politics under the name of “Oslo commitments” and “international cooperation.” But what legitimacy can an authority have that cooperates with the enemy against its own children?
Those who persist on this path bear a historical and moral responsibility. Every resistance fighter imprisoned by the PA is a testament to this betrayal. Every piece of information transmitted to the occupier is a bullet in the heart of Palestine. The blood of the martyrs of Jenin, Nablus, and Hebron cannot be washed clean with diplomatic communiqués or empty declarations of “limited coordination.”
The time has come to speak the truth firmly: security coordination is a Zionist project carried out by Palestinian hands, aimed at preventing any uprising or resistance that threatens the existence of the occupier. Whoever participates in it or remains silent in the face of it participates in the betrayal of Palestine.
Liberation is not achieved by cooperating with the enemy, but by resisting it. True security is that of the people who fight, not that of the settler who steals. The dignity of the country is preserved only by breaking the bonds of this infamy and rebuilding the national project on the foundations of resistance, unity, and loyalty to the martyrs.
