Yemeni Attack Leaves 24 Israeli Wounded in Occupied South Palestine

El portavoz de las Fuerzas Armadas de Yemen, el general de brigada Yahya Sari, emite un comunicado, 1 de junio de 2025.

At least 24 people are injured, two seriously, in a drone attack by Yemeni forces on the city of Eilat in southern occupied Palestine.

Israel’s national ambulance service said at least 24 people were injured on Wednesday after a drone launched from Yemen hit the Red Sea city of Eilat, which borders Jordan and Egypt.

Through social networks, the institution has stressed that all those affected with shrapnel wounds have been transferred to Yoseftal Hospital in Eilat.

He reiterated that two injured men have “serious injuries to the limbs”, while another has shrapnel wounds in the upper part of his body. Another 21 people have minor injuries.

The Israeli military has acknowledged its inability to contain the attack. “We tried to intercept the Yemeni drone twice, but we were unsuccessful,” he said.

Images circulate on social networks that show the moment when the drone crashes into a commercial area of the town.

Previously, the security forces have set off the air raid alarms in an attempt to take extreme precautions, although the air vehicle has not been intercepted.

The Israeli army, which has confirmed in a statement that the unmanned aerial vehicle has been launched from Yemen and has fallen into Israeli territory, has reported that an investigation has been opened into the matter.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have pledged to “advance in the development of their military capabilities to strengthen their position in this battle and continue their operations in support of the oppressed Palestinian people until the aggression ceases and the siege of the Gaza Strip is lifted”.

Since Israel launched its genocidal war in Gaza in October 2023, Yemen has carried out drone and missile attacks on Israeli targets in the occupied Palestinian territories and targeted Zionist-linked vessels in the Red Sea.
