The Palestinian people extend their deepest gratitude to the Italian people for the firm and courageous solidarity demonstrated in these times of genocide. This is no small gesture: with every march, with every Palestinian flag raised in Rome, Milan, Naples, or Florence, a powerful message is sent to the entire world: Palestine is not alone.
But our gratitude is not limited to Italy. We also salute all the peoples who in recent days and months have taken to the streets of Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, raising the Palestinian flag and demanding justice. Every demonstration, every banner, every voice denouncing Zionist barbarism and the complicity of the powerful reminds us that our struggle is universal.
The solidarity of the Italian people—like that of so many sister nations—is not limited to the streets; It is expressed in pressure on institutions, in the voices of intellectuals, artists, and trade unionists, and in the courage to denounce the complicity of governments with the genocidal regime. Italy, with its history of workers’, anti-fascist, and democratic struggles, recognizes in the Palestinian resistance a mirror of its own battles for dignity and justice.
This support is not only a moral gesture, but an influential political force that makes the powerful uncomfortable. Because when the peoples of the world mobilize, their echo resonates in Brussels, the United Nations, Washington, and every international forum where the fate of Palestine is discussed.
The Palestinian cause is strengthened with every embrace of solidarity, with every voice that cries out “Free Palestine!” in Italian, Spanish, French, English, or Arabic. Thanks to the people who demonstrate, our struggle becomes more visible, more legitimate, more invincible.
From Palestine and all of Latin America, we reiterate: the solidarity of the peoples is the seed that will tear down the wall of Zionist apartheid and open the doors to a future of freedom and justice.
